It is estimated that with every suicide, at least six people are intimately affected. In families where a suicide has occurred, unresolved issues surrounding the suicide can affect its members for several generations.
Chaos of the Heart was created for those grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide.
One day, soon after the release of our CD, a woman knocked on our door at Music for the Soul. She was a single mom who had just lost her only child, a 17 year-old son, to suicide. Her agony was palpable.
She said, “I was so angry at God that I stopped praying. But then I heard your song ‘How Could You?’ I’m still angry with God. But thanks to that song at least we’re talking again. Prayer has been given back to me.”
Lord, you are the God who saves me;
day and night I cry out to you.
May my prayer come before you;
turn your ear to my cry. ~ Psalm 88:1,2
